Our tools transform business and community through unlocking the latent potential at the heart of relationships between culture, people, places and community.
THE 3D MODEL
We take planning from 2D to 3D.
Underpinning all our work is our deep commitment to keeping community front and centre in projects. We do this by embedding a human centred approach into our 3D method to enable clients and communities to co-create throughout the discovery, design, delivery phases of our projects.
The Intentional Communities Matrix provides the platform to put the sociological dimensions of a functioning community into practice. The matrix shows the realms in which people inhabit: individually, in community, in place and in what they do – endeavour. The model provides guidance on a holistic approach to community development and is a helpful tool for measuring the current state of any community and identifying gaps and priority areas to ensure the long term sustainability of any community.
Place is more important than ever. Where we live influences the jobs we have, how careers develop, the people we meet, how we network, who we date, where we play, what we are inspired by, our rest, our health and ultimately our ability to lead happy and fulfilling lives. What influences these elements of place is less about the structure of our neighbourhoods and more to do with how the meaning of places is constructed – the narrative of place.
Creating Communities’ Rope Model provides a visual approach to how we recognise the intersection between various stakeholder interests to create the opportunity for collaboration and shared delivery of outcomes. In a complex community scenario such an approach is essential if sustainable change is to be made.
SOCIOLOGY OF COMMUNITY
The Sociology of Community is like a deep dive into all that makes communities and places tick – it guides our discovery of places and informs our design.
