Creating Communities Stronger Together COVID-19 Response for April 2021

• News

This week, following Western Australia’s three-day lockdown of the Perth and Peel regions due to a case of community transmission of COVID-19, a post-lockdown transition period is in place for Western Australians until 12.01am, Saturday 1 May.

During this period Creating Communities is open for business, continuing our engagement and community development work digitally through our online conferencing platforms while our offices are closed and staff travel and our physical events and engagements are on hold until Monday, 3 May.

As in previous lockdown periods, we know it is again crucial we all do our bit to support the physical, social and economic health of our communities. This might be by staying connected through digital conversations, offering local acts of kindness to those in our immediate surrounds or helping to keep one another safe through the sharing of health advice and guidance.

WA Government COVID-19 information and advice

  • Professional and community sports, including training, permitted but without spectators
  • Elective surgery can proceed for category 1 and urgent category 2 surgeries only
