To contribute to the social fabric of Satterley’s Secret Harbour Estate and provide a popular cultural activity for the residents.

Strategy

As part of the broader community development program, Creating Communities attracted an internationally accomplished musician to Secret Harbour. The artist conducted singing workshops with the community to teach them new skills while encouraging people to overcome their fear of singing.

Success

• Formation of the Secret Harbour Singing Group;

• Performances at the Christmas Carols event and other local community concerts;

• Established new friendships amongst the group; and

• Built the pride of the Secret Harbour residents in their local choir.
