Project	Pilbara Impact Management Strategy
Client	BHP Billiton Iron Ore
Scope	BHP Billiton is currently planning for several projects to increase iron ore production in the Pilbara. Creating Communities has been contracted to prepare a Management Strategy to ensure impacts from the upgrades are managed well across the whole of the Pilbara region (507,896 square kilometres). The project is currently underway and involves: Review of previous Social Impact Assessments; Identification of potential opportunities and impacts; Consultation with communities across the Pilbara to develop management strategies using the Creating Communities Problem and Solution Tree frameworks; Multi criteria assessment; Development of strategy responses; and Preparation of documentation that facilitates a partnership model for delivery.
