Project

Pearsall Hocking Community Centre Needs and Feasibility Study

Client

City of Wanneroo

Challenge

The City of Wanneroo Town Planning Scheme includes a community-purpose site in the rapidly-growing locality of Pearsall in East Wanneroo.  This site is co-located with a proposed neighbourhood centre, primary school and public open space.

Creating Communities was commissioned to investigate the need for, and feasibility of, developing a new community centre in Pearsall, and to maximise opportunities for integration and shared facilities with neighbouring land uses.

Our Role

To do this, we:
  • Consulted with relevant stakeholders;
  • Prepared a concept plan;
  • Prepared a site master plan;
  • Prepared a preliminary traffic and parking assessment;
  • Prepared a preliminary cost estimate;
  • Prepared a feasibility study report.

 Outcome

 The final report demonstrated how the City of Wanneroo could maximise opportunities to develop a multipurpose community centre that integrated with a nearby primary school and proposed shopping centre.
