Social Spaces for a Connected World: Creating Communities has channelled its collective community development minds to create a hotel that explores urban hospitality. The exercise is part of our professional development program that mentors our talented staff.
We have entered an international competition that reassesses hospitality norms and come up with a workable vision for a hotel where guests mingle freely with local residents and other visitors - where experience is shared, friendships are born, business contacts are established and real human connections are made - all under the one roof.
The successful hotel will be developed south of 23rd Street, New York. Our entry, the Place Hotel, is based around the concepts of social and environmental sustainability, and the place-making models and philosophies of Creating Communities.
