Rebecca Lyon-Augustus

“Thereis no better feeling than having a positive influence on other peopleslives. Life is about interacting with other people, buildingrelationships of understanding and acceptance. With CreatingCommunities I have the opportunity to combine my passion for art anddesign as well as promote community strength.”

After graduatingas a primary school teacher with a major in art education, Rebeccataught at Ballidu Primary School in WA’s mid-west, before migrating toOakland, California, U.S.A.
Whilst in the U.S.A. she studiedGraphic Design at the University of California Berkeley, working forsix years as the chief designer for a not-for-profit children’s themepark.
Upon her return to Australia in 2004 Rebecca worked for theMarketing Department at the City of Stirling before coming to CreatingCommunities.
